The Dockstr team has handled some of the largest work class ROV transactions in the market, including the divestment of 40 work class ROVs from Subsea 7 to Oceaneering. We value the equipment first, drawing on our proprietary transaction dataset, then define the pool of qualified buyers based on what is offered for sale. We manage the deal from first engagement through to completion. Talk to our team about a buy or sell requirement.
Multi-vehicle work class ROV packages from fleet renewal, contract end or divestment programmes.
Individual WROV spreads, vehicle with TMS, LARS, HPU and tooling, ready to mobilise.
Systems available as-is for redeployment, or refurbished before being put back to work.
Thrusters, manipulators, HPUs, tooling skids and spares brokered standalone or as part of a spread.
Buying a work class ROV: specify hp class, depth rating and the configuration required (manipulators, TMS, LARS, tooling skids) for the intended scope of work. We identify options available within the market and beyond.
Selling a work class ROV? We take it to a qualified pool of operators and contractors worldwide, including buyers outside your usual network. We prepare the data pack, value the asset against recent comparables and current new-build lead times, and run the sale through to close.
Heavy work class ROVs are capital-heavy assets with long new-build lead times. When a contractor rejuvenates its fleet, or a drilling operator releases a rig, work class ROV spreads come to market and can be made available for redeployment.
We see consistent demand from operators, subsea and drilling contractors looking to expand their WROV fleet. Given the lead times and the budgets involved, second hand systems are a credible option.
A deployable work class ROV spread is the vehicle, TMS, LARS, HPU, control container, umbilical and spares. Pricing reflects hp class, depth rating, manipulator and tooling fit, hours since last full refurbishment, and the completeness of the spread. A vehicle alone, with no TMS or LARS, is a fundamentally different work class ROV for sale than a turnkey spread.
Recent OEM refurbishment, current third-party survey and a documented spares position lift the number. We package the data and run the negotiation.

Buy-side mandate for a construction-class work class ROV
150hp+ hydraulic spreads with full TMS, LARS, HPU and tooling skids, built by the established work class manufacturers Schilling Robotics, Forum Energy Technologies and SMD. Smaller electric work class systems, such as the Saab Seaeye Leopard, sit in the light work class band on the previous page.
Pricing runs into the millions. Older systems can start a little above 1 to 2 million USD, with newer units a multiple of that, depending on hp class, depth rating and spread completeness. We share comparables under NDA once a brief is logged.
Yes; though buyers typically pay a meaningful premium for a complete, deployable work class ROV spread.
Yes. TDUs, dredge skids, cleaning skids and torque tools all trade as standalone assets alongside a work class ROV for sale.
