Kirby Morgan is the global standard for surface supplied commercial diving helmets. The KM-37 SS and its fibreglass sister the KM-47 dominate inshore, IRM and inland civil scopes; the KM-77 and KM-97 take the deeper, mixed-gas and saturation work where weight, breathing performance and hat integrity matter most.
Helmets trade continuously on the secondary market. Buyers value the broad spares availability, the consistency of the OEM service network and the residual value the Kirby Morgan brand holds compared with non-OEM alternatives.
Pre-owned KM-37 SS with brass ID tag
KM-37 SS, the stainless-banded workhorse, is the most traded helmet on the secondary market. Comfortable across long bottom times, well-suited to inshore IRM, port and inland civil scopes, and supported by an exceptionally wide spares and refurb base.
KM-47 carries the same internals as the KM-37 in a lighter fibreglass shell; favoured where helmet weight in air and on deck handling matter. Common with training schools and inshore contractors running multiple helmets per spread.
KM-77 (including the stainless KM 77 REX variant) is the mixed-gas helmet of choice for deeper air and heliox work. The REX adds a stainless shell and revised side block layout aimed at extended-duration diving and saturation deployment.
KM-97 is the heavy-duty mixed-gas helmet sitting alongside the KM-77 in saturation spreads, with reinforced shell construction for the most demanding bell-run operations.

A pre-owned Kirby Morgan helmet typically transfers with the SuperFlow regulator pack, communications post (wired for the buyer’s comms box on request), neck dam, neck dam clamp assembly, side block, defogger valve, hat liner and the OEM carry case where available.
Configuration and condition vary by seller. We document the as-built scope, last service date, regulator overhaul history and any outstanding OEM bulletins in every Kirby Morgan data pack before buyer engagement.

OEM service is widely available through the Kirby Morgan distributor network and authorised service centres. Typical refurbishment paths cover regulator overhaul, side block service, posi-check fit, hat liner replacement and comms insert upgrades.
We can package full spares kits, replacement SuperFlow regulators, comms inserts, neck dams and hat liners alongside the helmet sale, or source them separately to match the buyer’s existing fleet.

Both. We broker single Kirby Morgan helmets, multiple-helmet sets and complete surface supplied spreads including helmets, umbilicals, control and gas panels. Tell us what you are releasing or looking for and we scope the sale or search around it.
Inspection is advised and we arrange it where possible. Depending on the seller and location that may be a physical inspection, or a virtual inspection as an alternative, with photographs, service records and a video walkthrough.
It depends first on what is available in the market for immediate purchase. Where a matched helmet is already available we can move quickly, often within a couple of weeks, with the balance of the time being logistics, shipping and import depending on where the helmet and the buyer sit. Where nothing suitable is available immediately it can take a little longer. The most important part is identifying the right equipment, and that is our job.
