3D measurement
(measure it)

New photogrammetry, laser profiling and structured-light systems for dimensional subsea survey. Partner OEMs through Dockstr.

Acoustic sensing
(map it)

New multibeam, side-scan and sub-bottom systems for seabed mapping and geophysical survey. Partner OEMs through Dockstr.

Positioning
(locate it)

New acoustic positioning and navigation systems for survey and inspection platforms. Partner OEMs through Dockstr.

Platforms
(carry it)

New micro to full-size AUV platforms for hydrographic and coastal survey. Partner OEMs through Dockstr.

New geophysical survey equipment, hydrographic systems and subsea imaging through Dockstr distribution. We route across visual imaging, 3D measurement, acoustic sensing, positioning and survey platforms, matching equipment to survey scope rather than tying you to a single catalogue. Partner OEMs and tier-one relationships sit behind the desk, with more coming online as the network grows.

At a glance

Survey - what the desk handles

Geophysical and hydrographic coverage

Multibeam bathymetry, sub-bottom profiling, side-scan and seabed survey through to high-quality subsea video, time-lapse and imaging.

Scope-led configuration

We start from the survey scope, not the catalogue: bathymetry, sub-bottom, multibeam seabed mapping, pipeline tracking, structural imaging.

Full supply chain visibility

Independent of any single manufacturer. We see the whole market and match equipment to the job, not to a catalogue we are tied to.

Integration onto existing platforms

Most work is integration: fitting new sensors to an existing ROV, AUV or survey vessel. Power, comms, mounting and data handling confirmed before PO.

Buy-side and sell-side

Two sides of the same desk

Buying

Tell us the survey scope and the deployment platform. We confirm with the OEM and return a configured proposal matched to the data you owe your stakeholder.

Selling

Manufacturers in marine survey, hydrographic and imaging segments evaluating distribution, whether European or global, are welcome to engage the desk.

In detail

How this segment is brokered

Marine survey covers a wide span: hydrographic bathymetry, geophysical sub-bottom profiling, pipeline tracking, structural inspection, environmental monitoring. The right equipment depends entirely on the survey scope, the deployment platform and the data deliverable.

Our desk starts from the scope and the data the client owes their stakeholder. The equipment proposal follows from there, not the other way round.

Bathymetric acquisition console.

Survey platforms cover compact, single-operator AUVs for coastal and inshore work through to full-size systems. Imaging is supplied as one coherent set: cameras, lighting and recording engineered together, not catalogue parts stitched up at the operator end.

For broader hydrographic and geophysical gear (multibeam echosounders, sub-bottom profilers, side-scan sonar) we route to partner OEMs case by case and keep the commercial wrapper at Dockstr.

Side-scan towfish, geophysical mobilisation.

Most enquiries here are integration jobs: fitting new sensors onto an existing ROV, AUV or survey vessel. Power, comms, mounting, data handling and post-processing software all need to be confirmed before PO release. We loop in the OEM technical team during the proposal so the integration scope is closed up front.

Acoustic positioning, vessel integration.

FAQ

Common questions

We distribute new survey equipment across five areas: visual imaging, 3D measurement, acoustic sensing, positioning and survey platforms. Current partners include Seaber for AUV platforms, SubC Imaging and Orphie for cameras and imaging, with further manufacturer agreements coming online as the network grows. Where a brand sits outside a formal agreement we route through partner OEMs case by case, so the proposal follows the survey scope rather than the catalogue we happen to hold.

Yes; most survey enquiries are integration jobs. We loop in the OEM technical team during the proposal so the integration scope (power, comms, mounting, software) is closed before PO release.

Camera and lighting systems run 6-12 weeks. Micro AUV systems run 12-20 weeks depending on configuration. Larger custom builds are longer.

Yes; operator training is included on most new systems and can be delivered at the OEM facility or on the deployment platform during SAT.
