About Layback
Layback is a Norwegian specialist in engineered cable and umbilical handling for offshore installation and intervention. The design philosophy is grounded in operational reliability: simple, robust mechanical systems with electrical or hydraulic drives chosen to minimise downtime in harsh offshore conditions.
The product range covers the full installation tool-chain. Tensioners (Mini and Maxi, the Maxi rated to 25 tonnes pulling capacity with a four-belt track system), Cable Carousels (current designs scaling to 2000 tonnes of cable storage), Turntables, Quadrants, Reels, Chutes, Bellmouths, Cable Anchors, Bend Restrictors and a portfolio of cable routing, protection and lifting equipment.
Layback also supplies continuous cable extrusion services via Parmaplast and develops customised products to client specification.
